The purpose of this site is to acquaint you with the varied sewing & quilting designs, products, and discoveries we have made during the development of our new hobby. An initial overview is shown below as an introduction. We have remodeled a portion of our downstairs area and garage to accommodate our activities. [More pics of garage tiles and wall areas].

The Other section includes FREE DOWNLOADS of some fabric tags for specific purse and quilt projects. There is also a download of my color charts for that assist in matching color names with numbers.

OVERVIEW

When we were first "re-introduced" to sewing in the fall of 2004 we were fortunate enough to find a shop right near us: Sew Original . There we became acquainted with Shirley Bailey, co-owner and "teacher extraordinary " . We have taken many classes from Shirley and her staff and are happy that we are now the proud owners of two, Bernina 200E machines as well as three sewing tables and cutting boards. We should continue to enjoy our new hobby. Check out our quilting, and purse pages. More pics to be added later. Sew Original gives back to the community. The staff at Sew Original is spectacular too: Terri Sapp (software), Cathy Bogan ( quilts), Muriel Riggs ( events coordinator ), Joyce Dimock (Embroidery), Ann Ellis (special projects) and Ann Scofield (Reversible and 'Harmonic Convergence' Quilts). Additional staff include, Holly Alloway ($5 Quilts), Jeannie Boyles and Judi Low. We also have taken classes by Carrie Pippins ( Polka Dot Log Cabin Quilt, Hand Applique) and Gina Boone. All the staff are ready, willing and able to help with any project, explain fabric needs and assist in selecting materials. We have enjoyed our new hobby, sewing. We will add to these pages as we create new projects. We have also had expert advice and superior quilting from Bonnie Tise.
